Setbacks are positive. They further clarify what you do not want, so that you can focus on what you do want. This will lead to a higher, more harmonious state-of-being.
The past couple weeks I have experiences a wealth of emotions, ranging from intensely positive, to intensely negative. I let negativity slip back into my life.
How did it happen? I saw negative-minded people come back into my life, and the negativity manifested and it grew like a seed. I saw negative events and circumstances come into my life. but NO MORE. It is time to take control again.
Negative thoughts breed more negative thoughts. Slowly, one negative thought became many, and the habit of negative thinking had returned. NO MORE.

Emotional Guidance
As I journey on my path to enlightenment, I have stumbled, as the mind wants to resort to old, less desirable ways of thinking.
I wrestled with an old notion that I could create, or alleviate a feeling within someone. After, some pondering, in much less time than the reflections I had to previously do, I realized that I could not succeed.
Each person is responsible for the creation of their own emotions and feelings. This is a very valuable step in understanding the attraction process. I observed an external event, saw myself as the reason for that event, and thought that I could alleviate the negative energy that I perceived to be displayed by an action of the person in control of that event.
Without specifics, I found myself blocked from by a friend on a networking site for reasons that seemed to make no sense. Seeing myself as the cause of this, I immediately thought that if I could clear up the confusion that I could make someone feel better about not blocking me. While I was in alignment with my desires for wellbeing in attempts to be honest and to want to improve the wellbeing of another, I was not in alignment with the fundamental principles of the mind and the LOA.
I wanted someone to feel better about their situation, there was no harm in that. What I failed to realize is that it was up to that other person to feel better on their own. Any negative emotions that they may be feeling are not by my guidance, but by their own.
This was a necessary setback on my journey to learn and to move towards the emergence of my higher self.

The Power Within

The Law of Attraction has recently become a fascination in my life. Quite simply its emphasis is that "Like attracts Like." From the birth of this blog, I will motivate, encourage, and offer positivity to uplift you to the life you want. I have recently been awaken by a shock of negativity, and in turn have been given the greatest gift of all. If you are willing to walk with me, you will learn how to take this law and start using it to create the life you desire. The truth is, you have been using it all along. The sum of everything you are now is a product of every emotion and thought you have ever had. Let that sink in. In fact, the law of attraction has brought you here.
Now we will begin to use it to bring us what we DO want. I hope that you are as excited as I am to join me on this journey-a journey towards self-acutalization. I ask for your forgiveness immediately because I am letting the words flow from my brain onto the page with little conscious construction. At times, you may feel lost and not fully understanding what I am talking about, because my excitement in revealing this knowledge of wellbeing to you precedes my organizational skills. I am overflowing with positivity as I write this, with supreme confidence that you will begin to live the life you want to live. as Martin Luther King Jr. said, "...You do not need to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." Although I have begun taking my first steps prior to writing this, I invite you today, to join me, and take your first step or to continue along those steps with me.
You will find enjoyment in this blog and it will create a positive outlook for you and your life. I am confident as a writer and I know that more and more of you will continue to read my blog, and you will take things from them to use to bring you to fulfillment in your lives. I also have utmost confidence that the following here will grow, and I trust the Universe to bring me those who may benefit from this blog. Today we begin our journey towards attaining our greatest desires.
You CAN do whatever you want. Have you ever really thought about this? Most of us carry around too much baggage, too many negatively associated emotions to successfully move forward and follow our own bliss. I am writing this blog right now to reach YOU. Stop what you are doing and think about why you are here. What has attracted your energy here? And make no mistake about it-you are here for a reason. Believe that. Just as I believe that I am here for a reason.
Most of us spend our lives focusing on what we DO NOT want. These thoughts become so deeply ingrained into our being and psyche that we draw our most unwanted desires into being. Think about it. Does the person who always complains and talks about the economy have a booming, successful business that continues to thrive? Do the people who constantly complain about what they don't have and don't get ever seem happy? There must be a reason for this. There is.
I am going to tell you something that is very fundamental. It is so fundamental that many of you have not realized it until this point. You can successfully guide your thoughts and emotions to be postive, even in the face of adversity. Wait, what?
That's right. You choose how you think. If you were like me, you let your emotions guide you. This may have created undesirable outcomes for you if you let negative emotions guide your thoughts. I will delve into my own personal story in another blog, because right now, I want the focus to be on YOU because the feelings you are feeling right now are in fact right NOW creating your world and shaping the person you are becoming, the emotions you will be feeling and even the thoughts you will be thinking.
These words may seem intense to you. Fundamentally sensible but rudimentary all the same. Everything in your life you are attracting. If you were like me in my past, you let your emotions guide your thoughts. You formulated your thoughts by observing external situations and your emotional reaction to them. You reacted the that you thought felt natural, whatever way you were conditioned to.
Essentially, you are good, whether you believe you were created in God's likeness or not, you are designed to feel happy and to enjoy your life. The vibrations that your body experiences during these times are fundamentally more desirable than vibrations that are out of line with the emotions you desire to feel.
Let's try an example of the above. You see a neighbor who has a car that you desire. You feel a lack of not having the car they have and you may begin to feel jealousy and resentment. These emotions are not in line with your essence, which is good and which is designed to function best with positive emotions and you begin to feel negatively.
While you desire the car, the car is not a want, but a need, because without that car you do not feel complete. You feel a lack, and because your vibrations are operating out of lack, rather than by want and complete confidence that you can and will attain the car, you reinforce your pattern of thoughts to associate negativity with this car and your desires. Everytime you see this car, you will feel the negative emotions of not having the car, and your thoughts will guide you in a manner to feel that you are undeserving of that car.
Now try looking at it differently. What if you saw that car, and you desired that car. You truly believed that anything in this world is possible and that you could attain that car. You felt happy and joyful for your neighbor because they had attained that car, and you, a loving human being who was designed to create your own life and to fulfill all of your bliss, realized that you could create that car into your own existence. If that belief was strong enough, you could obtain that car.
All you simply did was alter your pattern of thought. If you find yourself in the first scenario too much, it is because you have reinforced your pattern of thinking to what you don't HAVE with negative vibrations and emotions. Recognize that you can and will attain that car, and think like the second scenario.
Who you were yesterday has guided you to this point today. Recognize that, accept it, and make the changes necessary that will enable you to follow your bliss. Who you are today sets the tone of who you will be tomorrow.
